Information at first hand
Would you like to know how to search for patents, trademarks and designs? Or whether it makes sense for small and medium-sized companies to apply for IP rights at all? Then come to our workshops in Berlin and Munich or ask us at one of the Trade fairs we take part.
In addition, in cooperation with our partners (e.g. the patent information centres and industrial property rights organisations) we offer you further events focusing on patents, trademarks and more.

World Intellectual Property Day 2024: IP and the SDGs
Building our common future with innovation and creativity
To build our common future and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we need to re-think how we live, work and play. World IP Day 2024 is an opportunity to explore how intellectual property (IP) encourages and can amplify the innovative and creative solutions that are so crucial to building our common future.
World IP Day was first proclaimed by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) at the suggestion of UNESCO in 2000, exactly 30 years after the WIPO founding convention came into force on 26 April 1970.
Contribution of the DPMA and the patent information centres
World IP Day is celebrated all over the world and everyone - whether patent and trademark offices, universities, non-governmental organisations - is invited to celebrate it. The DPMA also participates in World IP Day every year and, together with the patent information centres, offers events relating to the protection of intellectual property.
